The 3000 Club
The 3000 Club is an exciting group of members that are rescuing 30 million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables every year.
We need at least 3,000 people and businesses who will help stop nutritional foods from going to waste, and make them available to thousands of hungry children in America.
You can be a part of saving
food and saving lives
A message from Lon Taylor, Founder of The 3000 Club
As a 3000 Club supporter, you can...
1. Support a "Green" project
We all want to be GREEN and support the environment. What can be more green than making use of produce that would otherwise be dumped into landfills because there’s not a market for it when it reached the border. It is a double loss when food that has gone through the growth cycle using resources to be created is not able to reach people who need it to flourish. Your support allows transportation and distribution to food banks who will be sure this food is not wasted!
2. Have volunteer opportunites to the level you wish
Be more hands on and see how your sponsorship is used to get food to the people who need it desperately. The 3000 Club opens the door to you in so many ways. Go to Nogales and visit the processing facilities where you can sort food for distribution. Carry a load to your local food bank or church soup kitchen. Volunteer at the local food bank to pack boxes for the needy. Or even serve at the local soup kitchen. The work will fill your heart in a way no food or money ever could. Make it a family project and teach your children the value of being stewards of your community.
3. Network with like minded business people
Business economic times are tough. You need all of the resources you can gather to make it through the economic downturn. Networking with like minded individuals concerned about feeding the hungry and doing good works will put you touch with business professionals who have achieved a higher level of consciousness and have the integrity vital to business success. These are people you will want to network with and with whom you will build successful relationships.
